Create Time!

"A schedule defends from chaos and whim, It is a net for catching days...   A schedule is a mock-up of reason and order--willed, faked and so brought into being.  Anne Dillard

In other words, a schedule allows us to be successful in our day, in our week and in our month.
For me, schedule is a key to my success at home and at work.  Sometimes I am really good at it and there are times I fall off, which reminds me why it is so important.   What I love about a schedule is that it also makes sure you have balance and take care of the most important parts of your life, YOU, your family and all the other things that need to happen in addition to that core foundation.

There are many benefits to having a schedule which I will be talking about in the next month as we prepare to go back to school (yes, a big schedule change there)!    One HUGE benefit is that it allows us to CREATE time!!!!  Most people believe there are not enough hours in the day and I know that feeling all to well, especially us moms!    If you take a weekly calendar, block out all the things that need to happen (work, drive kids, etc...) then look at the rest of the time, that is where you can CREATE time!  How much time do you waste either watching television, cleaning the house, spending on FB?  These things are okay to do, when you do them in the "off hours" meaning, during time you dedicate to doing these things.  It may sound crazy to some of you but I am telling you it works!  I have experienced tremendous success in my home based business just by carving out time and doing that one thing each week/day and month to reach goals.  Likewise, it has allowed me to have quality time with my family and balance the two worlds.  Now, it is not perfect (remember, this blog is not about perfection or I do it best, I just practice and share what I love and what I find works/or does not work)!

Take a try at it, just one week, block out these areas of your life!
You Time (time for you to either pray, meditate, think, read, write, be inspired and filled up)
Work Time
Family Time (date time, family time & traditions, core time together)
Children (school, activities, homework, etc...)
Fitness/Health Time
Home (laundry, clean up, cooking, decorating, meal planning)
Church Community)
Friends
Errands/Appointments

Outside of all the important things that you need to do, there are other "gaps" of time!  Live the "P" in HIPP Living!  Productive time, what can you do during the gaps of time that will move your life forward?  Do you have a dream or desire that is in your heart, perhaps you take this time and either grow a talent, work a business to create extra income or to grow and better yourself!

Have a HIPP day and CREATE time, it really is on your side!
